Can we change?

Woke in DC. Looked for parking at the metro for over an hour. Finally paid $8 to park to then ride the Metro. No wonder public transportation in this country is not used. We went to the natural history museum, the air and space museum & the American History museum. At the Air & Space museum we went to the planetarium show. Very cool and very trippy. It made me feel very small yet very important at the same time. Since the universe is so large yet most of it, if any besides are planet, are not conscious. Therefore my perception is the center of all of this.

At the American History museum we saw an exhibit on Brown v. Board of Ed. This was very moving. Made me realize that while things are pretty bad now we have made a lot of progress in one generation. Yet at the same time I wonder if things have not fundamentally changed to prevent change from occurring. It appears that with the media becoming less and less independent that one of the greatest tools to enact social change has been taken away. The internet at one time seemed to be a renewed hope for descending opinion, but that like all else has been quickly taken over buy corporate America. I think the issue we face now with the rule of corporation maybe a very hard obstacle to overcome.

ON the way out of DC we stop at Costco. They didn't have our cups or lids. We call other Costco's in the DC area and even one up in NYC only to find they don't have our cups anywhere on the East Coast. This sucks!!!! Also we can't find any cheap beer. We drive to Del. to the hotel where Me & Holly spend our first night together. I cook some lemonade and then sleep.
