Nowhere, TENN

Woke around 7am as always in this heat. Happy to get up, pack the car and get out of Bonnaroo. We drove south for a while and then north up till VA. We stop at a rest area and there was a tour bus there with a group heading from Alabama up to NYC. It is so strange cause my life is so different from these people. I can not imagine how these people must see the world. Yet on the other hand I am sure that they are seeking the same thing I am. Love & Happiness. I guess we are just looking in different places.

We stopped for breakfast at a starbucks in a Barnes & Nobles. In many ways I despise the rise and spread of these huge corporate chains, but it is nice to get a scone and cup of decent coffee in the middle of nowhere Tenn. We then spend the day driving. We talked a lot about the wedding. We finally stopped up near Shenandoah National Park. We talked about going to one of the many caverns tomorrow. We have two days before we need to be in Brooklyn so we are going to spend one day out here and one day in DC at the Smithsonian.

After we got a motel, and unpacked all so it could dry, we went to a book store and looked at wedding books. Got a little intimidated. There is a lot to this wedding thing. We got a blank journal to keep wedding notes in and then went back to the motel and crashed early, in a cool, dry bed!
