Welcome to Bonnaroo

Woke. Got more beer & repacked the car to hide all the beer. Rumor is no bottles are allowed in Bonnaroo. We have 12 1/2 cases that we can not loose.

Got into Manchester, TN around 1:30. We drive past the grounds on the freeway and see they are letting people into the grounds straight from the freeway. We head to Wal Mart to find me a tickets. Holly got a $75 ticket back in SF but I don't have one yet. Talk to a couple of people who say tickets are hard to get. Holly is pretty pissed at me since I could have gotten a ticket back in SF for around $100. We make a sign to offer cash and our extra Phish tickets for a ticket. We here there is a back way into the grounds so we try that. Traffic is stopped here. Holly gets out and walks down the line of traffic to find me a ticket. When she is gone someone walks by offering $200 for a ticket. Things don't look good. After around 10 mins. Holly returns with a ticket. Paid $150 which is below face but still a $50 mistake for me but at least we are both in. The line of cars we are in is not moving so I decided to get out of this line and head back to the freeway way entrance. We get right in here. We maybe waited a total of 30 mins in line once I got a ticket. Which is great considering we waited 17 hours last year to get into the Phish festival. Once inside we are directed to set up camp way in the back of the grounds, but I manor to maneuver my way closer to the entrance and we set up camp right along the main road.



IT IS HOT!!!! I mean sticky, sweaty hot. We set up camp then end up back in the car with the AC on to stay cool. We have definitely gotten soft living in the perfect weather of SF. After things cool of for a little bit we walk up to Centeroo to explore. Centeroo is the main area where all the bands will be playing as well as the location for all the officially vendors. In the evening we drag our cooler up near Centeroo & hang out & sell beer. We run into R & J. Good to see some old friends. We sell some beer and attempt to call it an early night. We go to bed around 1am but it is too hot & sticky to sleep. I fall asleep thinking this may be a very long weekend.
